Colors TV has been more in news for Akshay Kumar’s Khatron Ke Khiladi and Shilpa Shetty’s Bigg Boss. Guess what? they even got better show than these – AND its Balika Vadhu.
Story is about tradition of Child marriage set in Rajisthan. Show comes as fresh breath of air for many reason. Starting off, title track is awesome (video preview here). Little girl and her kid husband plays their part to perfection.
Other characters are very well written and show grips you once you get hooked to it. Best part, there is no out an out vamp – DADI is the character with grey shades.
She is negative not because she is suppose to be negative but because she is old and believes in traditions she has been taught during her childhood.
Lastly, no blasting background sounds (like we hear in Ekta kapoor shows). Sets are very glitzy and authentic with Rajasthani flavour. Catch this show Mon to Thurs on Colors TV at 8PMÂ – You for sure will find more reasons to LOVE this show!

Anandi, u made my tears roll down repeatedly. I find myself everytime emotionally involved too much while watching the serial. May be that I had to have a close look of this culture in my teenage. I do not miss this but before watching I assess what may follow and that much I tend to avoid but cannot. Let us all hope the society at large takes this the way it is meant for.

It shows that such tradition is still carried on in rural areas of Rajasthan and makes us awares of the life the girls who are forced to practice such traditions go through. Balika Vadhu is excellent Tv show on colors. it has the convinicing power for those who belive in child marriage. This is my no. 1 show on TV. In this show the costums, languages of characters, make up, speaking style, wearingstyle, jewellery & backgroung were absolute brilliant. I love this show. I don’t miss this show of any day. I am much found of this & I m biggest fan of this serial. I like the role of the characters especially Anandi’s character. When she cry I m also crying with her while watching the show. I also write & love the morals that come in the end of the episode. I know that this show will bring people against child marriages……

I totally agree. I am also not going to watch this serial from now on. By killing him they have taken away the whole charm and have convinced us that it is not right to be ever excited and happiness never lasts. They have shattered the dreams of a young soul and have forced us to believe that a widow can be inauspicious. Very very disappointed. You have now made it intpo any run of the mill story.
I luv this serial and i watch it daily but the episode of 25th Feb was not too good Why the producer has shown the death of pratap he should not die what will happen of saguna. Do any miracle but pratap should not die in this serial we were very sad to see the death of pratap and the reaction of saguna. How both of them recall their loving memories before their marriage. Its a request that the character of pratap should not die

Suguna is a superb actress. Her acting skill is exceptional for her age. This is a very good serial which depicts the negative aspects of child marriage so well that we get involved with the charecters. I have not seen any other serial in which the acting is so good, especially the death scene. Suguna u brought tears in our eyes! keep it up!
